Safety Program Manager
At BAMCo, safety is at the core of everything we do. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of safety protocols across all company locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment through proactive training, policy development, incident management, and compliance oversight. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and hands-on leader with a passion for building a culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs across all BAMCo operations
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate risks
- Lead and manage safety training programs for new hires and current employees
- Respond to incidents and accidents, leading investigations, root cause analysis, and resolution processes
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations
- Collaborate with shop managers, field teams, and executive leadership to drive safety improvements
- Recommend and lead initiatives for continuous safety process improvement and risk reduction
- Serve as point of contact for regulatory agencies and internal safety reporting
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate degree or higher in occupational health, safety management, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a safety management or EHS (environmental health & safety) role, preferably in transportation, fleet services, or industrial operations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and industry safety standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct engaging and effective safety training sessions
- Proficient in using technology to manage training records, audits, and incident reports
- Clean driving record and ability to travel to BAMCo locations as needed
